Adjust Portafilter Hooks - PUQPress

Issue:
  1. PUQPress not tamping.
  2. Portafilter falling out of place.
  3. Portafilter is too snug.
  4. Loose portafilter hooks.
  5. Uneven tamp.
Resolution:
Adjust portafilter hooks!

Tools:
  1. 10mm Hex T-Socket Wrench
  2. Portafilter

Step 1: Identify Portafilter Hooks & Adjustment Screws
  1. Turn PUQPress OFF.
  2. Switch is located on the lower rear.


Step 2: Adjust Hooks
  1. Using a 10mm hex wrench.
  2. Slightly loosen both adjustment nuts.

  1. Adjust hook up or down.
  2. Slide a portafilter into place to verify placement.
Idea
Tech Tip! Portafilter should not be too snug or difficult to insert.

  1. Once hooks have been adjusted and the portafilter easily slides in-and-out of the PUQPress...
  2. Tighten the hex nuts until they are snug!

Step 3: Verify Functionality & Calibrate
  1. Turn PUQPress ON.
  2. Portafilters should not significantly differ from one another... but to be certain. Test each one!
  3. Calibrate PUQPress
